Content
The Content is, quite obviously, one of the most important things with your verse.
Think about it! What is it that you want to say?
When I write for my clients I have a set of questions that gives me the chance to get to know the recipient through my client. Do the same thing! Write down what makes the person special, what occasion the verse is for, funny moments you’ve shared, silly things that have happened and how much this person means to you.
One thing to keep in mind is to avoid writing things that may hurt the recipient. If the person is bald and sensitive about this, no matter how funny a rhyme you can put together – leave it!
